The Shire currently supports COD4:

If you find yourself banned and wish to appeal, please go to Rules, Bans and Appeals section. Please read this before you make your appeal.
No appeals will be accepted for players banned for hacking or using racist comments.
We provide servers for the enjoyment of players of any age and skill levels.
This is a fun server.
Server admins can be identified by the tag [CDN] before their name.
Admins may occasionally be incognito in order to maintain rules.
Server admins may ask for someone to leave so another owner or admin can play.

Rules of Play & Conduct

(Expect to be immediately kicked or banned for violations)

The above rules apply to the forums and the game servers.

Game Servers Guidelines
(Be aware that each owner/admin may interpret these guidelines slightly differently)

All perks are allowed
You are expected to play the map objectives
No inappropriate names or tags
Only jumping allowed : to throw nades, onto obstacles, off buildings or down stairs, to view over obstacles (not firing)
You will be automatically kicked without warning if you have a mouse wheel attack bind
No spawn or bomb camping
You can be in the enemy spawn area but do not position yourself for repeated spawn killings (farming). Only exception: in SAB game when bomb is being planted or planted
Be polite to everyone
Telling your team anything when dead (ghosting) is not allowed
Do not stack teams
Try to keep the teams balanced skill wise
Ask politely when requesting teams to be evened up. Direct your request to specific player(s)
AFK - For short (2-3 minutes, 1 round) absences, please change to spectator team. For longer absences, or the server is full, please leave the server and return later
Players are not allowed custom message binds to warn/chastise other players
No spamming
No advertising
No glitching
We use a word filter to catch what we consider inappropriate words
NEW RULE: No spawn tubing at the start of Search & Destroy map rounds

Infractions
General policy for infractions is:

1st - warning
2nd - kicked or temp ban
3rd - ban
If the offense is serious you will be banned immediately.
Certain inappropriate words will get you kicked. Some will get you banned. So be careful what you say.

Reporting complaints and issues

The list of present owners and admins is here.
Please if you have a problem with a specific person, contact that person by PM, and discuss it in a civil manner.
Don’t post your rants about someone in public forums they will be deleted.
For problems with owners or admins you must first PM the individual. If unresolved, please PM all the owners.
Everyone is encouraged to take screen shots and post to the forum about the issue if the rules are broken. To mark the log file - type in the following exactly as shown: NWLH <playername> <alleged infraction>
